With the coming revolution of the loT, the Hospitality Industry is set to explode with applications of loT, specifically within the cruising industry. South Florida is a hub of hospitality, with the cruising industry in particular representing more than 1/3 of the global deployment capacity market share. This program offers badges to train the existing students and workforce in the Hospitality and Tourism Management on the intersection of the IoT and Hospitality.

A badge is an accelerated training program offered through a workshop style mode in a one-shot setting. The material will be available in online platform Canvas provided through FIU.

FIU’s Chaplin School is collaborating with the College of Engineering and Computing to bring these badge programs to the FIU community. It will be taught by its faculty and is made available thanks to the funding support from the Cisco Silicon Valley Foundation.

Badges will be offered online.
