Endowed gifts provide a steady income stream to stimulate new ideas, provide seed funding for innovative projects, improve program quality, recruit and retain outstanding faculty and attract talented graduate and undergraduate students. By creating an endowment and investing in the School’s future, donors can make a difference that will last beyond their lifetimes. For the donor, endowing a faculty position, academic program or student scholarship provides a concrete, permanent link to the continued academic and research excellence of the School. Endowed gifts will enable the School to sustain and enhance our leadership roles in cutting edge interdisciplinary research, graduate training, and undergraduate teaching. By making an endowed gift to support faculty development, donors increase the resources available for the Dean to recruit and retain the best and brightest. Endowed gift commitments may be paid over a multi-year period.

Creative gift planning has emerged as a vital means of advancing the vast educational mission of the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management. Planned or deferred gifts allow the School to prepare confidently for the future and can provide you or your loved ones with lifetime income and significant tax benefits. These planned gifts allow you to make a significant commitment to ensure the future academic excellence. Gift planning options can include naming the School as a beneficiary in your will, retirement plan, life insurance policy, charitable trust, gift annuity, or by designating the School as a focus of your planned philanthropy.

The Chaplin School is looking for alumni to join the FIU Panther Alumni Recruitment Team. The program involves alumni volunteers in all phases of student recruitment, beginning with identifying prospective students and seeing them through to enrollment. Volunteers may commit as little as 15-20 minutes of their time to certain initiatives, such as writing congratulatory notes to admitted students. More substantial time commitments are also available, including representing FIU at events in your local area including college fairs or attending new student send-off events in strategic areas.
