Support the Chaplin School
Faculty and Staff contributions do more than provide funds for programs and scholarships. Our Ignite giving rate is an impressive statement to alumni, corporations and foundations that FIU depends on for large gifts and grants.
Double Your Impact
Several employers sponsor gift-matching programs. If your company is eligible, you may be able to access the form through our Giving Page.
Why Give?
Generous gifts provide the support needed to build on the Chaplin School’s mission to prepare leaders who will design and develop the customer experiences of the future within the global hospitality and tourism industry. The impact your tax-deductible gift makes toward advancing student success, academic excellence, research and economic development is invaluable.
Funding Priorities:
Students
Donor contributions go a long way toward making it possible for many students to continue their education and to participate in activities such as study abroad, internships, competitions and industry conferences. Endowed scholarships and assistantships help to reduce and, in a number of cases, eliminate the barriers deserving students face as they prepare to become future leaders in the industry.
Faculty
Endowed faculty positions, including industry chairs, professorships and fellowships, enable the Chaplin School to recognize outstanding faculty while providing invaluable support needed to attract and retain leading faculty and post docs to FIU. Such endowments, whether permanent or term, help faculty advance research initiatives and pursue development opportunities that enable them to provide unique and enhanced learning experiences to students.
Facilities and Programs
Generous donations have paved the way for the creation of learning spaces that give Chaplin students the hands-on experience they need to succeed beyond the classroom.
The Chaplin School’s plan to enhance programs and curriculum involve renovating existing classrooms and space, as well as the construction of two new buildings: the Graduate Building and the Food and Beverage Science Building. The multimillion dollar projects will provide existing and future students with facilities and technology that will prepare them with the necessary knowledge and competencies to compete in the global hospitality and tourism industry.
Naming opportunities provide a special way for you to leave a lasting legacy with the university. The Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management offers a number of opportunities in support of student success, academic excellence, research and advancement.
