Hospitality Scholarships
There are a variety of scholarships opportunities available to incoming and current Chaplin School students each semester. The following scholarships and awards are examples of those administered by the Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management:

How to Apply for Scholarships
- Go to the FIU AcademicWorks website.
- Sign in with your MyAccounts username and password.
- Complete the general application.
- Select the Opportunities tab and select Ours. All available scholarships will be displayed.
- Apply to all appropriate opportunities.
- Tip: A simple way to find all Chaplin School scholarships is to type “hospitality” in the search bar on the FIU AcademicWorks website.
Deadlines
Completed applications are due on the FIU AcademicWorks website by the second Friday of the semester for which you are applying.

Students may apply for multiple opportunities as long as eligibility requirements are met. Hospitality students will be notified of new scholarship opportunities as they become available on the website.

Requirements
The Chaplin School has affiliations with a variety of external funding organizations within the hospitality industry. Students will receive notices about these scholarship opportunities as they become available through their FIU student e-mail. Notices will also be available at the administration office HM 210.

Application Process
To complete an application, the student must specify the class for which he/she will be an assistant and the professor of that class must sign the application form in the spaces provided. The professor’s signature is an indication of his/her approval of this student. Qualified students are those who have a cumulative FIU G.P.A. of 3.0 or above, and have received a grade of ‘B’ or better in the class for which they would be an assistant. Students must submit the completed teaching assistant application form to Gabrielle Cazimir in HM 210.
